About our Graduate Programs in Social Work

We offer two advanced graduate programs: the Master of Social Work (M.S.W.) and the Doctorate in Social Work (Ph.D.). These programs are a collaborative partnership between the Department of Social Work and Sociology at North Carolina A&T State University and the Department of Social Work at the University of North Carolina Greensboro.

Our Two Universities

North Carolina Agricultural and Technical State University (NCA&T)

NCA&T is a historically Black institution and one of two land-grant universities in North Carolina. As a comprehensive university, it offers a diverse and integrated environment for both faculty and students. NCA&T provides a wide range of academic programs, granting degrees at the baccalaureate, master’s, and doctoral levels.

The University of North Carolina at Greensboro (UNCG)

UNCG holds a unique place in North Carolina’s public higher education system, having served as the Women’s College until 1965. UNCG has a strong and enduring commitment to a liberal arts education.
