Dr. Carmen Monico Selected as the 2021-2022 RTI University Scholar

The RTI University Scholars Review Committee selected Dr. Carmen Monico as the 2021-2022 RTI University Scholar. The RTI University Scholars Program provides support for distinguished academic researchers at the Associate Professor level or higher to spend scholarly leave time at RTI International, actively partnering with our experts. The goal of the program is to foster collaboration and catalyze opportunities for externally funded joint projects in the future.

JMSW Student Terrell Richardson accepted to the Council of Social Work Education Master’s Fellowship Program (MFP)

Terrell Richardson, a JMSW student was accepted to the Council of Social Work Education 2021-2022 Master’s Fellowship Program (MFP). This is a highly recognized and competitive fellowship. The purpose of the program is to reduce health disparities and improve behavioral health-care outcomes for racially and ethnically diverse populations. The fellowship is designed to increase the number of culturally competent master’s-level behavioral professionals to serve racial/ethnic minority populations.

JPSW RECEIVES HRSA FUNDING

We are pleased to announce that the Joint Programs in Social Work have received HRSA BHWET funding for the Integrated Behavioral Health and Racial Equity Scholars Program (PDF) in the amount of $1,920,000 to support JMSW and JPhD students 2021-2025.
