Students in the Joint M.S.W. Program can apply for a Master’s License in School Social Work during their first year. This field offers rewarding work with students and families across K-12 levels, focusing on prevention and early intervention.

To work in North Carolina schools, social workers must be licensed or eligible for a provisional license.

The Joint M.S.W. Program offers this licensure to two-year track students who have completed at least 60 graduate hours. Advanced Standing students are not eligible.
